We hold play dates and practices at the Salt Creek Wranglers arena on 4300 South Coddington, Lincoln, NE. For their insurance requirements, we all belong to that organization as well.

To ride at Salt Creek Wranglers Arena, you must be a member of Salt Creek Wranglers. Membership forms and payment can be made on that day, if you don't already have your Wranglers membership for 2024. Being a Salt Creek Wrangler member also provides you with the benefit of riding at Wrangler's Arena anytime there is not a scheduled event.

Yearly dues to the Salt Creek Wranglers organization are listed on their webpage.

What do you do?

Meetings and events are run from Spring through Fall. A basic layout of the year for members starts with a no-ride BOOT CAMP, where members and potential members can meet, talk about goals and plans, practice non-riding exercises and activities, and connect with each other over lunch. The 2024 BOOT CAMP, held Sunday, March 10, provides training and practice for non-rider participation.

The spring and summer provides opportunities to practice and participate in non-schooling shows and clinics. These are generally held at Salt Creek Wrangler's Arena.

We hold our yearly main event - The Roundup - in the Fall, held the past three years at the former Lancaster Event Center, now Sandhills Global Event Center. National judges provide insight and professionalism to our main event.

Are there opportunities for non-riders?

YES! We feel this is a welcoming group, and understand that people want to participate, whether a rider or not. We invite people to help at shows as pattern callers, scorers, scribes, runners and arena help, filming and photography. Please contact us for information. The direct contact link is at the top of this page.

Are there age requirements?

We have riders of all ages, from children to seniors.

What kind of tack is allowed?

Regular working saddles and bridles are allowed. Saddles must have a horn. No bitless bridles, sidepulls, halters, or similar devices. Standard western bits, snaffles and hackamores are allowed. Specific requirements are found in the Cowboy Dressage World rules section.
